Can I re-align the prisms in my binoculars?
I have dropped my Tasco Offshore binoculars and the two images now do not line up. I assume one or more of the prisms have been knocked out of position.
It will cost more than they are worth to be done professionally. Can anyone tell me how to disassemble the binos and see what the problem is.
No need to take it apart (don't!). If the binoculars are Rubber Armored there should be a seam at the top and bottom parts of the prism housing. Peel back the seam and use a mini screwdriver to (carefully) turn the adjustment screws that adjust the tilt of the prisms. Some binoculars have two screws for each prism, while others have only one for each.
